In Hemiksem’s Saint Bernard abbey, the Scheldt, the town, open space, past and present meet each other. The protected abbey is an exquisite place to give visitors to the Scheldt National Park an imposing welcome. The majestic block could offer space to a hotel, a visitors centre, a reception and seminar hall, a brasserie... A first version of the project plan has been made up; the intentions expressed in it allow to look for appropriate partners and advisors to give this marvellous monument a new use.
